Hand-forged Medieval Style Pennanular Brooch is hand forged from mild steel using stone coal and traditional blacksmithing techniques of the past! The look and texture of each brooch is created naturally in the process of blacksmithing and is always unique!
The Penannular brooch or Celtic brooch or Viking are especially associated with the beginning of the Early Medieval Age and are found no only in Medieval Europe but also in other times and places. This horse shoe type of brooches or fibulas in old times were very popular for both men and women to fasten folds of their clothes.
Our brooch is around 65mm wide in diameter, the needle is around 90mm long. The Brooch suits perfectly to chunky knitwear or weaved scarfs and shawls.
The brooch is covered with a transparent varnish, which adds protection from rust and allows to save the original color tones of forged mild steel.
